Partnering with Local Golf Courses
Working with local golf courses has become a strong and reliable initiative in both cities. In Abbotsford, his restaurant partners with Ledgeview Golf Club, sponsoring 45 women’s and men’s nights each season. Weekly winners receive a coupon for a free lunch or dinner with a Chopped Water, and Chopped Leaf signage is featured on the course throughout the season. And he’s seen an influx of golfers at the restaurants, who appreciate that a wrap is a delicious and portable source of protein and fuel on the course, or before or after a round.
Building Long-Term Relationships with University Athletics
Chuck’s relationship with the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) athletics began with offering a few wraps for basketball tournaments. That early gesture has grown into one of his largest catering streams. UFV now places recurring orders for tournaments and campus events. With athletes arriving from across Canada, the partnership has also brought new visibility to Chopped Leaf overall and repeat guests to his Abbotsford location.
Supporting Fitness and Meal Prep Goals
Chuck also serves the fitness community, offering 10% discounts or free water to nearby gym members. Over the past five to six years, he has become a trusted
resource for people tracking macros and protein targets, preparing customized meals using Chopped Leaf’s build-your-own options.
